The White House has announced the launch of an online platform, Moms.gov, aimed at supporting new and expectant mothers by providing access to pregnancy resource centers and other essential services. The site, introduced as part of a Mother’s Day initiative, offers a comprehensive range of tools for women navigating pregnancy and early motherhood.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has described Moms.gov as a "first-of-its-kind resource", emphasizing its focus on improving maternal and family health. "This Mother’s Day, the Trump Administration is strengthening its commitment to America’s families by equipping mothers and fathers with the resources and information they need to build healthy, prosperous lives", said HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
A Centralized Resource for Mothers
According to HHS, Moms.gov provides a variety of services and information, including details about pregnancy support, nutrition guidance, mental health, preconception health, breastfeeding, and adoption. The platform also connects users to pregnancy resource centers and federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) across the nation.
The administration describes the website as a "one-stop home for all the resources needed for expectant mothers including nutrition, pregnancy support, lifesaving care and more." A social media post by the White House promoting the site reiterated its commitment to maternal health:

Praise From Pro-Life Advocates
Pro-life advocate Lila Rose supported the announcement, noting that the website directs women toward "life-affirming support." She stated, "Abortion tells a woman she must kill her child to succeed. THAT IS A LIE. Mothers deserve hope, help, and real care. Every child deserves the chance to live."
The Trump administration has emphasized the value of pregnancy resource centers in aiding women and families. These centers provide services worth an estimated $368 million annually, including $206 million in free medical care, $83 million in education and support services, and $78 million in material assistance, according to HHS.
Controversy Over IVF Access
While much of the response to Moms.gov has been positive, some concerns have been raised. The website offers access to "Trump Rx", which provides medications commonly used in in vitro fertilization (IVF). This inclusion has drawn criticism from pro-life advocates who argue that IVF, as typically practiced, does not align with pro-life values. Critics highlight that only around 2.3% of embryos created via IVF successfully result in live births, while the majority are not carried to term due to genetic screening and other procedures.
Secretary Kennedy, speaking at the launch event, referred to Moms.gov as a "huge win for the MAHA movement and for the pro-life movement", noting its focus on prenatal and postnatal care. However, some voices within the pro-life community have pushed back. They argue that while the website’s emphasis on supporting families is commendable, IVF practices conflict with the notion that all human embryos deserve legal protection from conception.
